Q: What types of SR22 filing are there?
A: There are three basic types of SR22 filing, and only one will really apply to you, but your prices for any will differ so it is important that you choose the right one. If you choose wrong, you may find yourself in a bind some day soon.
1. Vehicle Operator’s SR22 filing – This is for if you are only a driver, but do not own a car. Even lacking a car of your own, you will all the same need to do SR22 filing if you plan to drive someone else’s.
2. Owner’s SR22 filing – This is for any vehicles you own.
3. Operators-Owners SR22 filing – This is the most common, being for both your own vehicle and also extending coverage to you when you drive other people’s vehicles.
